GeoERA

GeoERA is an ERA-NET (European Research Area Network) which aims to contribute to an optimal use of the subsoil and thus a sustainable use of geoenergy, groundwater and mineral resources.

45 national and regional geological surveys from 32 European countries have jointly created an ERA-NET with the aim of developing a European geological service. GeoERA funds 15 projects in applied geoscience, of which SGU participates in nine of the projects, in the areas of mineral resources, groundwater, geoenergy and a geoinformation platform.

The projects, which are about 30 % funded by the European Commission, started in 2018 and will run until 2021.
