SGUs geological data products about ores and minerals contain information about Sweden's mineral and rock deposits, boreholes and drill cores, mineral deposits of national interest and mineral permits from the Swedish Mining Agency's Mineral Rights Register, where you can see applied for and granted exploitation concessions and exploration permits.
Mineral permits and exploration
Mineral rights are an extract from the Mineral Register of the Swedish Mining Authority. Here you can see applied for and granted exploitation concessions and exploration permits.
Mineral and Bedrock occurrences
Mineral- and Bedrock occurrences is a nationwide product and contains point data with information on Sweden's mineral and rock occurrences. The data includes everything from small occurrences such as mineralized outcrops to abandoned and active mines or quarries as well as mineral deposits known through core drilling.
Drill cores and boreholes
The products shows coordinated information about boreholes and drill cores, cuttings, etc., which SGU manages. Data is also available from scanned and analyzed drill cores from SGU's archives.
Ores and concentrators
The product contain information on production at mines, mining areas and concentrators. Ores also contain information on reported reserves & resources at Swedish deposits with information on the type of ore, amount of ore and metal content.
Mineral deposits of national interest
The product shows areas that contain mineral deposits of national interest. Deposits that contain valuable substances or materials can be designated as being of national interest by SGU.
