43rd plenary meeting of Working Group Groundwater in Uppsala on the 19th – 20th of April 2023.

The Geological Survey of Sweden invites you to Uppsala as part of the Swedish EU Presidency. The city of Uppsala is located north of Stockholm, easily accessible by train or taxi from Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN).

Venue

The meeting will be held at the VIP-lounge at Studenternas, a venue located in central Uppsala a 10-minute walk from the train station (address Sjukhusvägen 12H, arena entrance E, VIP).

Registration at the venue

Badges will be provided to each delegate and will be distributed at the meeting venue at the registration desk. Please bring your passport or identification card for a check at arrival.

Social event

Guided tour of Uppsala

Welcome to join us on a guided bus tour in Uppsala. The bus will pick us up at the meeting venue Studenternas at 17.15, directly after the first meeting day.

Dinner

All delegates are invited to a joint dinner on April 19th 19.30 at restaurant Hyllan in Saluhallen (address S:t Eriks torg). Please give any dietary restrictions in the registration form.

Arrival and departure

From Arlanda airport to Uppsala (35 km)

Local train – Pendeltåg operated by SL and UL
Local trains depart from Arlanda Station in SkyCity between terminal 4 and 5, every half hour. Travelling time to Uppsala is 18 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the airport, or in the UL app. UL App - UL. Please note that you can not buy your ticket on the trains.

At Arlanda station you find ticket machines (biljettautomat) for long distance trains. Please note that you can not buy your ticket on the trains.

Taxi between Arlanda airport and Uppsala: Uppsala taxi (approximately 675 SEK)

Station fee: Passengers travelling to or from Arlanda station need to pay a station fee (130 SEK).

From Stockholm to Uppsala

Local train – Pendeltåg operated by SL and UL

Local trains depart from Stockholm City station every half hour. Travelling time to Uppsala is just less than one hour. Tickets can be purchased at the station or with the SL or UL app (combined UL/SL ticket valid for both Uppsala and Stockholm).
