Webinar: Acid sulphate soil in the authorities' work

Welcome to a webinar on acid sulphate soils, their effects on the environment and measures to reduce its environmental impact. The webinar is primarily aimed at administrators at authorities. The webinar is held in Swedish.

Starts: 16 March 2021 13:00

Ends: 17 March 2021 12:00

The Swedish Water Agency has given a number of authorities measures with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of acid sulphate soil. Acid sulphate soil is a potential environmental culprit in Sweden's coastal areas and authorities from all over the country are expected to receive measures that affect acid sulphate soil.

In order for administrators at authorities to be able to handle cases concerning acid sulphate soil, they need to know where it is located, how it affects the environment and what measures can reduce its impact. To support this, SGU is arranging a digital seminar on acid sulphate soil.

The aim of the webinar is to provide administrators with tools to better handle cases where acid sulphate soil can have an environmental impact, for example when draining soil or moving excavated masses. This autumn, a workshop on acid sulphate soil will be held where, among other things, action plans will be drawn up. More information on this will come.
