About the site
General remarks
The purpose of SGU’s web site is to provide information about our activities, establish a dialogue and disseminate knowledge about geology and its applications. SGU’s Director-General is ultimately responsible for the web site. If you have any comments or queries about the content, appearance or structure of the web site, you can send them to sgu@sgu.se. Queries about technical matters should be sent to webmaster@sgu.se.
About cookies
Cookies are small text files (max. 4 kB) that are saved on your computer by the web sites you visit. Cookies are used on many web sites to give visitors access to various functions and to save information, for example about settings that you have selected on the web site. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act of 25 July 2003, all visitors to a web site are to be given information about cookies and how they are used. The SGU web site only uses cookies in connection with the Customize Web site function. Cookie files are stored for 30 days. If you do not want to have cookies stored on your computer you can avoid the Customize Web site function. You can also set your browser so that it automatically declines cookies or informes you that a web site contains cookies. The browser can also delete previously stored cookies. Downloadable files
In order to read the downloadable PDF files on our web site you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 4.0 or later) installed on your computer. You can download this program free of charge at www.adobe.com. If you have any problems reading or printing out a PDF document, it may be because you have an older version of the program.

Copyright
SGU information is covered by the Copyright in Literary and Artistic Works Act (1960:729). SGU information may not be modified in such as way that it is distorted or copyright is otherwise infringed.
You may make analogue print-outs of SGU information for your own use and distribute a few copies of analogue print-outs externally. You may also use SGU information in reports relating to your operations, consultative opinions or the like, also for external distribution.
