New report on the character of the crystalline bedrock in south-west Sweden

A new report, “Geochemical U-Pb zircon geochronology of granitic and syenitoid rocks across the southern part of the Sveconorwegian orogen”, presents radiometric ages and short descriptions of the bedrock from three different localities within the crystalline basement of south-western Sweden.

International workshop on GeoTreat

On May 14 to 15, SGU invites the international network for GeoTreat to a workshop in Uppsala. Opening speaker is Bruce Leaver. He is chair for the Australian Sapphire Coast Tourism, a part of Australias Coastal Wilderness, and one of the main architects behind Australias National Landscape Program. The welcome session is open to the public. Thereafter the network will discuss the development of the app; its distribution in the world, its content and function.
